In the wake of the spread of coronavirus in the UK, we are taking additional measures at Workbridge to support staff, service users, volunteers and our customers.

We’re open as usual

Our coffee shop, charity shop and garden centre at Bedford Road remain open to the public. We are still supporting service users and volunteers daily in workshops but with additional precautions.

We are monitoring the situation carefully and this advice may change dependent on the government’s response. We have no cases of the virus at Workbridge.

Additional measures we are taking

In the coffee shop:

  • we have a 5 star hygiene rating, but we are carrying out additional cleaning throughout the day, focussing on the regular washing and sanitising of high contact areas;
  • we are encouraging card payments only, rather than cash;
  • we are also offering the option of a pre-order and take-away;
  • and we are removing condiments including sugar and cutlery from public areas. These are still available from our serving areas.

In our workshops:

  • we have run hand cleaning sessions with our service users according to the NHS guidelines;
  • we have installed hand sanitiser in each workshop and offered guidance and information to all staff and service users to minimise any risk.

Support us: pre-order also available…

If you would like to still support us without being in a public place, you can pre-order from Workbridge, take-away or we can deliver (depending on the location). We have a number of delicious cakes and lunch items that you can order over the phone from us.

If you have a fever, cough or any related symptoms described by the NHS, we kindly ask that you do not visit us. For more information, please visit the government's guidance online for being in public spaces and coronavirus.
