Across our Arts and Innovation Hub, our goal is to give learners the skills to help them in everyday life. Depending on the person and their goals, this may include skills such as aiming high, overcoming fears, teamwork, problem solving, confidence, imagination, independence and responsibility.
Working to suit the individual’s pace of learning, people across the Arts and Innovation Hub have lots of fun working towards certificates and qualifications based on the OCN and Skills Builder criteria.
Ceramics
Learn hand building, wheel-throwing, or mold casting technique. You can create Ceramic objects by hand using slab, coiling and pinching techniques.
Drama and Performance
Explore plays, dramatic structure, attend and review theatrical performance, compose dialogue and preform short scenes in class.
Textile Arts
Dyeing, printing, pattern, embroidery and other types of needlework. Learn about sewing, knitting, crochet and tailoring, using hand tools like looms and sewing needles.
Jewellery Making
Learn how to make fabulous jewellery using a wide variety of materials and techniques.
3D Art
Make models, sculptures, decorations, ornaments, costumes, collages and props. Learn to create with plaster, plaster gauze, polymer clays, wire, foam board, polystyrene shapes, epoxy resin and modelling pastes.
