Workbridge will begin to safely re-open onsite for service users from Monday 29th March. We cannot wait to welcome you back again with us!
From Monday 29th March, the government is expected to lift the “Stay at Home” lockdown message allowing people in England more freedom to leave their home for leisure, recreation, education, work and support.
Our current day care provision at Workbridge has been closed onsite since the government announced a national lockdown in January. During this time, Workbridge has continued to offer support to all of our service users remotely, including:
~ activities for community service users online via Zoom 5 days a week
~ internal patient videos and in reach ward activities for St Andrew's Healthcare patients
~ postal activity packs to complete at home
~ welfare phone calls
~ and wellbeing walks.
Re-opening Workbridge from Monday 29th March 2021
The re-opening at Workbridge will begin from Monday 29th March, following guidance for day services provided by NASS (Northamptonshire Adult Social Services), Public Health England and the social care institute for excellence. Workbridge will also be following the infection control procedures and practices, and Health and Safety excellence set by the wider charity of St Andrew's Healthcare. This includes:
~ face masks for all staff and service users*
~ consistent groups to ensure social distancing and bubble guidelines are enforced
~ effective infection control protocols in place
~ currently no mixing of patients and community service users during sessions.
Service users will be expected to go straight to their departments they are attending that day, instead of the Workbridge canteen - the arrangement made after the second lockdown.
Safety at Workbridge
Safety and the wellbeing of service users is paramount at Workbridge.
Workbridge will be following the same stringent health and safety procedures set out from their first re-opening to keep all service users safe and well:
~ Regular cleaning regimes taking place throughout Workbridge and within departments
~ Departments with more space to work, keeping social distancing rules (max of 15 people) and limits
~ Hand sanitiser gel available for frequent use within every department
~ Face masks or face visors if medically exempt
~ Safety signs up across site to remind people to keep a 2m distance and to wash hands regularly
*All service users are to wear a face mask, or face visor if they have a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face mask. Some of our session sizes have been reduced, so that social distancing rules for support groups are followed correctly.
