We are delighted to have been shortlisted for two awards at The National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards, which take place at the ICC in Birmingham on Friday 14 July.
The National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards celebrate excellence in the support for people with learning disabilities, and aim to pay tribute to those individuals or organisations who excel in providing quality care.
We support people with mental illness, learning disabilities, autism and brain injuries to reach their full potential by providing a broad range of vocational opportunities. Each week more than 250 service users access our services, and attendees have the opportunity to build their confidence and make new friends in a supportive environment.
The two awards we have been shortlisted for are:
Employer of People with a Disability Award - An award which recognises an organisation who employs and supports people with learning disabilities or autism. Organisations shortlisted must demonstrate true values of respect, equality and accessibility for their employees who have a learning disability and/or autism.
The Making a Difference Award - An award which recognises the promotion of inclusion and community cohesion – particularly where this has helped make a positive change happen in peoples' lives. The winner will be recognised for their creative and passionate work when helping people with learning disabilities, giving them equal access and involvement in their community.
